The hotel  http://www.les-eleveurs.be can ealisy be reached from the railwaystation. It is about 200 meters.

 

I have booked a meal in the hotel restaurant at 19:30.

 


 

Wednesday 21st

 

08:45 Meeting in the hotel lobby.

We walk to “‘t parkske” (the little park). ‘t parkske is a municipal school situated in the centre of Halle. More info: http://www.tparkske.be/

 

10:30 We walk to “De Leerboom” (the learning tree). We visit the school.

“De Leerboom” is a state school with 27,2% of the children coming from a vulnerable social environment and 30% of the children are non-native speakers.

13:30 Round table in “De Leerboom”

16:00 Reception by the mayor of Halle in the town hall. More info: www.halle.be

16:30 Visit of the historical centre of Halle.

Thursday 22nd

 

08:45 meeting in the hotel lobby.

The schoolbus picks us up and drives us to Alsemberg where we visit “De boomhut” (the treehouse).

09:15 visit of “De boomhut”. De boomhut is a Freinetschool situated in rural green area. Typical for Freinet schools is the very high degree of parent participation.

11:30 The schoolbus takes us to the railway station. We take the train to Brussels.

 

14:00 visit of “De kleurdoos” (the box with colour pencils). De kleurdoos is a typical big city school situated in the centre of Brussels. Many children come from vulnerable social environments and nearly all are non-native speakers. Over the last years the school has done great efforts regarding parent participation. 16:00 visit of the historical centre of Brussels.

17:00 free time in Brussels (shopping?!!)

19:00 dinner in Brussels 

 


 

Friday 23rd

 

08:45 meeting in the hotel lobby.

The schoolbus picks us up and takes us to Lennik where we visit “Lentekind” (child of spring). “Lentekind” is a school for children with special needs.
